SAN FRANCISCO — A $3 million condo in the United States that features an underground bunkering unit and a small underground garden will soon be constructed in the Pacific Northwest, according to a report from Roblox.
Roblox co-founder and CEO Lauren Thompson said the condo will be part of the RoblOX Mountain Community.
The condo, which is being built in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, will be a “completely custom-built condo designed by a master planner and built by a local builder,” she said in a statement.
The developer will be working with a local architect, but no exact details were immediately available.
The bunker, designed by the developer, will sit on the third floor of the condo, in an underground area, with an additional bunker underneath.
The project is part of Roblux Mountain Community, a non-profit project to build new affordable housing, according the statement.
Roblux is a real estate company that specializes in “cozy, modern luxury housing,” according to the company’s website.
The Ballard community is a popular destination for RoblXers, with residents lining up for weeks to get into a special spot at the Ballard Park and Recreation Center to watch the sunrise or take a photo with a water fountain, according a Roblax spokeswoman.
RoBLOX Mountain, the largest real estate development in the Puget Sound region, includes a community center, a public bike path, and a residential and retail space, according its website.
