By now, you’ve probably heard the news that Coop is coming back for a third season in 2020, and that the Coop Vs. condo series has been canceled.
That doesn’t mean there’s not a third one coming in 2019, though.
Coop Vs, however, isn’t happening.
That’s because the series was originally conceived as a reboot of the Covert Affairs TV series, which ran from 1993 to 1995.
That reboot, which lasted four seasons, included a spinoff called Covert Incorporated, which starred Tom Cruise and featured some of his co-stars, including Kevin Bacon and Kate Beckinsale.
The reboot was eventually canceled, though, and the series never caught on in the United States.
The series was instead resurrected in Japan as an original series that ran from 1996 to 2003.
That series was canceled as well, but it’s been in limbo ever since.
In addition to Coop’s series being cancelled, Coop also has other things on its plate.
The Coop series is also currently working on a new version of the cult-classic cult film The Matrix Reloaded, which is based on the novel of the same name.
And the series is working on its fourth season of a short film called A Moment in Time.
